1.  How do I sign up?

*       To sign-up for the 2010 season, go to the FORMS tab and print out the registration form and the Acushnet release form.  Fill out the forms completely and mail to the address on the registration form.

2.  Where can I find the field? (Hastings, Acushnet, Anthony, Cushman)

SCGS uses 4 fields. 

Hasting fields are located behind the Hastings Middle School in Fairhaven.  Take Adams Street to Ash Street.    Hastings 1 is closest to the tennis courts.
Anthony Field is a small field located on North Street in Fairhaven.  Take North Street off Adams Street.
The Acushnet fields are located behind the Acushnet Middle and Elementary Schools.  Schools are located on Middle Road in Acushnet.  Acushnet 1 and 2 are located behind the middle school.  Acushnet 3 is located behind the elementary school. 
Cushman fields are located at Cushman Park, Fairhaven.  Cushman 2 is located on the Green Street side of the park.  Cushman 1 is located near the playground and basketball courts at Cushman Park.

3.  Why doesn't SCGS post player names and/or pictures on the web?

SCGS does not post player names and/or pictures on the web for safety reasons. Players initials only will be used. If any parent / legal guardian does not want his / her daughters' initials to be used on our web-page - notify the league President and
Web-Editor in writing asap.

4.  Who is in charge of the league?

League officers, and their emails and phone numbers, are found under the E-board link of this web site.

5.  What is the cost to play in this league and what is included in the fee?

2010 registration and fund raising fees are found under the forms section on our registration form.  Fees include uniforms, opening day events, Pawsox game, all-star games and trophies, and an end of season banquet.  For the 2 younger divisions, there is a Family Field Day.    For the 2 older divisions, there are umpire costs.

6.  When are opening day and the start/end of the SCGS season?

Opening Day 2010 will be April 25, 2010.   The SCGS regular season will run from April 25th-June 30, 2010. Playoffs are scheduled to start July 12th and be completed by July 25th.

7.  What are the ages of girls that play?

SCGS has 4 divisions which are based on player ages as of August 31st of each year.
For 2010, the divisions and ages will be as follows:   
If player is 5 years old as of December 31, 2009 she is in the Instructional Division for 2010.
If player is 6 years old as of December 31, 2009 she must move up to the Freshman Division for 2010.
If player is 9 years old as of December 31, 2009 she must move up to the Junior Division for 2010.
If player is 12 years old as of December 31, 2009 she must move up to the Senior Division for 2010.  This division currently goes up to age 15.
